Hello Summer Pop-Up Card

Good morning friends

I have a summer Pop up card to share today, that I made for a friend. A friend who loves the ocean.

I found this sheet of patterned paper in one of my stacks and that is what inspired the card. Here is a peek at the inside:

I wanted the Palm tree to face to the left, so I simply flipped the die cuts over and used the back side of them.  Here is a side view so you can see the pop up better. I used Lots of Pops, a Pop it Up die by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. Rocky the Crab is one of her Character dies, and he is SO fun to make. I'm always happy for a chance to use Rocky.

The sun and beachball are stickers from the same pack as the patterned papers, and the 'Hello Summer' was fussy cut from a different sheet in the stack. I added Stickles to the palm tree, since Rocky was cut from glittered paper.

Finally, I used the labels from the Katie Label Pivot as a place to add our signatures and a summer greeting.

Supplies:
Lots of Pops, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Palm Tree, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)

Peach Pop Up Sympathy Card

Good morning friends

I have another sympathy card to share today - there has sure been a need for them lately and I hope that stops soon.

For the floral embellishment on the front, I simply cut the floral from a different sheet of patterned paper in the same stack as the outer card using a circle die from the Spiral Circle Pull Card die set. The larger white circle was cut using the Clocks & Gears set - both Pop it Up sets were designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. I also tucked a stitched scalloped border under the stamped peach panel.

Inside, I made it a Pop Up using the Lorna Label Pop it Ups die. I'm getting a lot of use out of my HUGS dies these days too.

Another floral circle decorates the Pop Up label, and I fussy cut a little flower from the patterned paper to pop up on the peach banner.

Supplies:
Lorna Label Pop Up, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Clocks & Gears (Large circle), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Spiral Circle Pull Card (Small circle), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Hugs die - Papertrey Ink
Stitched scalloped border - My Favorite Things
Patterned paper - American Crafts
White card stock
Stickles
Card size - 5-1/2 x 5-1/4"

Happy Card Duo

Good morning friends

I have a couple of cards today, made when I was playing with my new Blueprints dies. I had this pretty glittered floral paper leftover from a different project - in fact, both cards were made entirely from scraps!

The butterflies were punched out of the orange print, but I used a butterfly body from Karen Burniston's Butterfly Pivot card for the largest one. The 'smile' die was a freebie from a large Copic marker order at Taylored Expressions, and I think it's going to be fun!

Into my stash with these two.

Supplies:
Butterfly Accessories (Butterfly Body), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Elizabeth Craft Designs Transparent Double Sided Adhesive Tape lg 6" roll.
Cream card stock - the Paper Studio
Patterned paper - DCWV
Blueprints 12 - MFT
Blueprints #23 (smiles and banner) - MFT
Smile die - Taylored Expressions
Stamp - MFT
Butterfly punch - Stampin' Up
Stickles
Large Banner - Lawn Fawn

C4C292 Challenge Card

Good morning friends

It's Saturday, and that means it's time for a new challenge at the Crazy4Challenges blog. Our June hostess is Danielle Lounds and here is her challenge:  I'm a big fan of trees and over the last handful of years I have planted 6 apple trees around my house. My challenge to you is to plant a tree, er, well, just include a tree or branch on your project. That might be easier. ;) Debra Hensley is our Guest Designer for June.

I made a Thanksgiving card using the Tag Pivot card die designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs, and some pretty embossed and gold foiled patterned paper.

I had picked up this Thanksgiving stamp and label die set in the Spring when I was visiting Arizona ... it's hard to find actual Thanksgiving verses so I grabbed this set.

I also used the stitched edges dies to create some interest on the inside as well as add some stability to the edges since the patterned paper wasn't sturdy enough for my liking.

To cut the label, I stamped Happy Thanksgiving on a strip of white card stock (Using my MISTI!) and then used a portion of the label die to cut just the edges.

To finish the inside, I used more of Karen Burniston's Pop it Ups dies;  the All Season's Tree with a sprinkling of die cut leaves (that come with the tree die set) and the small Hay piece that comes with the Hay There Pop Stand set at the base of the tree.

Check out the blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge, and to get the information on our June Guest Designer. We'd sure love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C292.

Cupcake Flip-it Card

Good morning friends

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog, and I have a cupcake Birthday card to share today.

I've been wanting a cupcake die that I could use on cards for Seniors Secret Service, but hubby says cupcakes are NOT masculine. This Avery Elle set has a couple of different cupcake toppers that I think will work just fine for masculine birthday cards so I bought them. Still have to make a masculine one though.

The small scalloped circle is where they can sign their name.

This card went into my box to donate to Seniors Secret Service.

Supplies:
Circle Flip-Its #4
Cupcake stamps and dies - Avery Elle
Patterned paper - Taylored Expressions
Stickles
Pink marker - Staedtler
Banner punch - Stampin' Up

Pink Dog Card

Good morning friends

It's Throwback Thursday here on my blog and my card is one I made last Spring but didn't get posted. I loved this Sizzix dog die and HAD to add it to my collection. I used it a fair bit before I discovered Karen Burniston's interactive Pop Up dies. Now that I see how CUTE this dog is, I am going to have to use it to make a Pop it Ups card as well!

I added a corduroy button brad for her nose.

Yup- this dog just makes me happy.

The Goofy embellishment was fussy cut from a different piece of paper. I added the stitched label (included in the set) as an area to write our message.

Here is a side view so you can see the Pop Up a little better:

Here is the second card:

Baby Card Duo

Good morning friends!

When the Elizabeth Craft Designs family welcomed it's newest member, I wanted to make baby cards to celebrate the happy occasion.  I knew I had one cute baby card with a moon in my stash that I'd been saving for 'special'.

When I pulled it out though, the foam tape had lost it's adhesive and the card was coming apart. So I remade it into a larger card with a few more additions.

Above is the card and envelope ... sorry the cloud looks so grey in the photos - it's white with brushed glitter on it and didn't look grey in real life.

The background paper has sparkly bits in it and I added some white velvet clouds.

Inside, I combined some of Karen Burniston's new clear Farm Greetings Stamps and cut out the label with the Katie Label Accordion layering die. I added a Peel-Off baby foot from the same sheet as the blocks on the envelope.

The second card uses more sparkly background paper, and the sweet lamb Peel-Off from the same sheet.

Each of the lamb's 'circles' were filled in with Glossy Accents, and I added a tag cut with one of the ECD Tags & More sets.

Here is a peek at the inside, the Congratulations was cut from pink velvet adhesive paper.
