Pretty Seasons Greetings Pop-Up Card

Good morning friends

I loved the Winter Warmth Stamp/die set (MFT Stamps) when it was released last year. Finally in late October I decided I was going to break down and order it. And it's every bit as wonderful as I'd hoped. The fact that it matches this pretty patterned paper was serendipity indeed!

Also new to me are the Swirly Scribble dies from Stampin' Up. I'm loving them! Here, I used it as a wreath.

Inside I used the Anita Frames Pop-Up by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. I cut the outer card extra wide, cut each edge with a stitched scalloped border then wrapped them around to the inside. I do this quite often - I like how it brings the pattern and colour from the front to the inside.

Yup - I love the images from the Winter Warmth set. They just make me happy.

Truth be told, I think this is one of my favourite Christmas cards this year!

Patterned paper - My Mind's Eye

Ugly Christmas Sweater Card Trio

Good morning friends

I was finally able to get some of the things on my Elizabeth Craft Designs Wish List, and one was this fun sweater die by Joset. I knew I had the perfect 'ugly' fabric looking paper to use, and immediately made these three Christmas Cards.

The little reindeer that comes with the sweater is SO cute!  I also used a 'fa la la' die that goes well with the words stamped inside and Els' new Chevron Background die.

These cards were just plain fun to make, and I'll enjoy sending them out for the holidays.

Supplies:
White card stock
Patterned paper - DCWV
Chevron Background die - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Sweater die - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Red pearlized card stock
Fa la la die - Lawn Fawn
Words inside - MFT Stamps
Stickles

A Gift For You - Sleigh Pop-Up Gift Card Holder

Good morning friends

I like to have pretty Gift Card Holders on hand over the holidays, so I pulled out Karen Burniston's Sleigh Gift Card Holder and made a couple. Today's share is one of them.

The front features 'a gift for you' from the Gift Card Accordion - it fits perfectly on the Labels and Circles die set!

Inside, I've added a Hudson's Bay Gift Card - I love those iconic stripes. So proudly Canadian! I filled the sleigh with a present sticker and springs from the ECD Candle die.

You can see how sparkly the patterned paper is in the photo below. The snowman is a sparkly sticker, that was adhered to white card stock and fussy cut.

Once the recipient slides out the gift card, they still have a pretty card to enjoy.

On a personal note, I am feeling good. Really good. All healed up and I have the OK from my Doctor to go back on the Enbrel. We are all hoping Enbrel is the drug that will kick my RA into remission. So far so good, even having to take two weeks off of it to recover from the surgery.

Also - I'd like to formally welcome little Alma Cohen to the world! She made her entrance quickly, arriving 15 days early at 11:13 Saturday night. 6 lbs 11oz. We brought Ilai (2) to meet his new baby sister yesterday and he was amazed at the baby. He was so sweet - he wanted to hold her and was stroking her legs. He checked out her ears, and touched her nose, then leaned down to cuddle her. He was whispering 'hello Baby' - it was very sweet. We are blessed indeed to have five wonderful Grandkids to love.

White card stock
Gift Card Accordion (a gift for you), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)

Pop-Up Christmas Card for our Vet (and a second card!)

Good morning friends

I always bring our Veterinarian's office some goodies and a hand made card over the holidays. It works out that one of our dogs ends up needing a vaccination or something else close to Christmas so it works out well.

This years card uses the new Twist Circle Pop-Up by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs, and also the new Labels and Circles.

Here is the card as it is opening ...

... and when it's fully open the centre circle twists and pops-up in the centre of the card!

I used a couple of different stamp sets for the dog, and penned the words inside. The circle was stencilled with the Petite Stage-it Stencil for a subtle background.

I was about to pack up from the card, when I decided to go ahead and make a second card that uses almost an identical layout and the leftover paper from the first card. This one has a fun clear sticker on the front.

Inside is a glittered snowman and several snowflakes.

The Twist Circle Pop-Up makes a really cool interactive card, but it's easy peasy because the die does all the hard work for you!

Supplies:
Patterned paper - My Minds Eye
Anita Frames Pop-Up, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
White card stock
Red card stock
Dog stamp & dies - Taylored Expressions
Santa hat - Lawn Fawn
Copics
Blossom stage-it Stencil -  Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Stickles
Glaze Pen
Labels and Circles, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Paw Print and Bone - Paper Smooches
Bakers Twine
Snowman Embellishment - K & Company
Word sticker - Stash
Clear double sided adhesive - 1/2" width
Believe stamp - Taylored Expressions
Fine Point Tweezers - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Snowflake Punch - Martha Stewart

C4C 364 Cake Day!

Good morning friends

It's Saturday so that means a new challenge at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog. Our November 2016 Hostess is Maryann Einam and our Guest Designer is Doreen O'Brien from Doreen's Dream.

Maryann's challenge is: According the days of the year calendar today is cake day, please add some cake to your
card.

I had just purchased this pretty gold foiled washi tape, so I wanted to find  away to use it on my card. Folding it over the spine on the card front seemed like a good place to start. I added Stickles to the patterned paper for some Birthday Bling.

Inside is where you will find the cake for the challenge. I used the Cake Pop-Up by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs for my cake, gold glittered card stock for the icing and candles, and more of that pretty washi tape on the cake layers.

This is a larger card, but I will be tucking it into the Christmas parcel that will be heading east so I don't need to worry about all the extra postage.

Check out the C4C blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge. We'd  love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C364.

Patterned paper - K & Company

White card stock
Washi tape - Recollections
Stickles
Words - Papertrey Ink
Gold glitter card stock - Stampin' Up

Purple and Pumpkin Halloween Flip-It

Good morning friends

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog, and I have a Halloween Flip-Its card to share today. I had a couple of smaller pieces of this fun Halloween print paper leftover, and they fit perfectly on the card.

The Trick Or Treat piece was trimmed from a different paper in the package, and I adhered an enamel dot on the end. The pumpkin embellishment is from my stash.

Inside I used one of Karen Burniston's Halloween Clear Stamps.

This card will be put away until Halloween 2017, but I didn't want to hang onto the pictures for a year.

Supplies:
Purple card stock
Patterned paper - Doodlebug
Pumpkin - K & Company
Square Flip-Its - Sizzix
Halloween Clear Stamps, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Enamel Dot

Card size - standard A2

Red Christmas Tree Card

Good morning friends

I had another pretty card that needed finishing off ... the base was cut with the Sizzix Scalloped Card. I decorated the front with a red tree. I don't think I've ever done a red tree before and I really like it!

Because the patterned paper was fairly lightweight, I lined the inside with a folded piece of cream card stock then added a couple more red die cuts and a greeting stamped in red.

One more for the Finished Christmas Cards pile!

Supplies:
Patterned paper - my stash
Red card stock - Stampin' Up
Cream card stock
Scalloped Front Card Base - Sizzix
Sticker star - Paper Studio
Christmas dies - Papertrey Ink
Stitched Oval - My Favorite Things

Card size - 4-1/2 x 6"

Flocked Poinsettia Christmas Cards

Good morning friends

These cards have been in my 'in progress' pile for a few YEARS. The patterned paper has beautiful flocked poinsettia's - it doesn't show up well in the photos. But you want to reach out and touch them in real life.

I added Glitter Dots to the centre of each flocked poinsettia, and die cut the Merry Christmas from red velvet adhesive paper. The card bases are a pretty off white card stock with flecks colour throughout.

I made four identical cards, and they will go into my Mom's holiday card pile.

Supplies:
Patterned paper - unknown
Green card stock - Stampin' Up
Off White confetti card stock
Stitched Rectangles - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Dotted Scalloped Rectangles - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Glitter Dots - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Merry Christmas - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Red Velvet Self Adhesive paper - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Stamp inside - Verses

Santa Mail Pop-Up Card

Good morning friends

EEEK - after enjoying Doodlebug's Boos & Brews Halloween patterned paper & printed embellishments so much, I ordered a package of Christmas embellishments. They are SO flippin' cute.  My surgery put me back quite a ways in my card making, but I did manage to get this one made before everything went south. Good thing I'm able to work way ahead most of the time!

The front features cute stitched mountains and some of the printed embellishments.

Inside, I used Lawn Fawn's Stitched Hillside Pop-Up for the hills, in addition to the mountains and tree-line. Then came the adorable embellishments ... they just make me smile.

I've only had a chance to use the Stitched Hillside Pop-up once, but I think it's going to be fun. I especially like that it cuts as a separate layer and attaches inside the card so there is no need for an outer card AND an inner card.

Supplies:
White card stock
Stitched Mountains - Lawn Fawn
Tree Border - Lawn Fawn
Stitched Pop-Up Hills - Lawn Fawn
Embellishments - Doodlebug Designs
Black Glaze Pen
Holiday Clear Stamps - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Stitched Oval - MFT Stamps

Card size - Standard A2

Karen Burniston's November Designer Challenge - Sparkling Gift Pull Tab Card.

Good morning friends

I actually had a different card made for the challenge, but when I got this one finished I decided use it as my challenge card instead. The theme of second November 2016 Designer Challenge is my choice ... "Charmed, I'm sure" - use any of the charm dies for a card of any theme.

I wanted to use one of the charms as intended, with the Hanging Charm Pull Tab. The Designer Challenge Team has already shown many different ways to use the charms, as have ECD customers. They are quite versatile! But they also make a great card when used with the Hanging Charm Pull Tab.  The card started with some festive, sparkly patterned paper and white Soft Finish Card Stock.

When folded flat, this card will fit in a standard invitation envelope and mail for a single stamp.

When you pull the tab, the frame slides up and the sweet little gift charm dangles in the opening.

The snowflakes and bow on the gift were cut from white glitter paper so they are super sparkly. I cut the gift and bow twice and adhered them back to back. That way if the charm spins around in the opening it looks pretty from either angle.

I like to make this type of card a flat, post card style. But I also like to decorate the back a little so here is the back of this Christmas card. There's lots of room for a handwritten message below the stamped words.

I hope you will check out the rest of the Designer Challenge Team - their blogs are linked on the right. Karen Burniston will have her post for the challenge tomorrow (Tuesday) on her BLOG.

Supplies:
Hanging Charm Pull Tab, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Holiday Charms Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Holiday Clear Stamps Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)

Gingerbread Man Gift Card Holder

Good morning friends

I have a Gift Card Holder to share today, using Karen Burniston's Sleigh Pop-Up. I kept the front fairly simple ...

The fun thing about the Sleigh Gift Card Holder die set, is that it is actually a Pop-Up Gift Card Holder die set that comes with an optional sleigh! On this one, instead of the sleigh I added Joset's Gingerbread Man and a couple of snowflakes on the optional angled Pop-Up bump.

I added a Hudson's Bay Gift Card for a pop of Canada.

When the gift card is removed, the recipient still has a cute card to display.

Supplies:
Patterned paper & coordinating card stock- s.e.i.
Gingerbread Man - Elizabeth Craft Designs
White card stock
Red card stock
Snowflakes - MFT Stamps
Be Merry - Lawn Fawn
Sleigh Gift Card Holder, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Border - Spellbinders (Happy Day)

C4C363 Sketch, a 60th Birthday Pop-Up Card

Good morning friends

It's Saturday so that means a new challenge at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog. Our November 2016 Hostess is Maryann Einam and our Guest Designer is Doreen O'Brien from Doreen's Dream.

Maryann's has a sketch for us this week:

Here is my card - I wanted to make a family friend a 60th Birthday card and when I saw this sheet of double sided paper I knew what I wanted to do. The sketch is on the front - I actually stayed pretty close to it!

I added the Happy Birthday from Karen Burniston's Happy Birthday Pop-Up, and the flowers & vine re from the Flower Pot Pop Stand. I put gold glitter dots in the centre of the flower for some birthday bling.

Inside is the Lorna Label Pop-Up, to which I added a die cut '60'. The numbers were also decorated with Glitter Dots.

The flowers from the Flower Pot Pop Stand is SO pretty, and comes in really handy when you want a little somethin' somethin'.

Check out the C4C blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge. We'd  love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C363

On a personal note, we are now back in Canada. We took three days so the longest stretch I had to be in the car was 12 hours. Quite long enough. When I look at the bruising I have from the IV sites and blood work as well as around all four incisions - it's easy to understand that same bruising is throughout my belly. All the jostling that comes with highway driving for hours on end took it's toll. I am SO happy to be home, and I don't plan on getting anywhere near my vehicle today. Hubby has offered to go get groceries so I can stay home. What a keeper.

Supplies:
Patterned paper - Photo Play
White card stock
Stitched ovals - MFT Stamps
Flower Pot Pop-Up (flowers & vine), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Happy Birthday Pop-Up (Happy Birthday), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Glitter Dots - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Number dies - Stampin' Up
Blueprints #12 (banner) - MFT Stamps
Words - MT Stamps
Wink of Stella
Ring Frame Edges (open scallop 'banner'), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
